"Tidsfordriv"

Pastime is perhaps one of the most personal paintings of 2025 - I'm in the picture myself. The title describes exactly the state it's all about — the pleasant, slightly melancholy state when you don't really do anything but aren't bored either. The motif consists of 3 crocheting women where I sit with 2 good friends at a pool in the south of France.

The motif and colors are inspired by the Swedish artist Mamma Andersson, whom I have followed for a long time, and the size of 140 cm in height gave a special opportunity to have different areas. The painting was for me also a test of Serigraphy where I tested options with light-sensitive print and UV light.
