"Da alle var gået "

Painting inspired by the fact that in some ways you can feel "abandoned" in the middle of life. The children grow up and you start a new phase in your life - it is not a negative feeling, but it can be a strong feeling of having to reinvent new things. Thus also a comment on the fact that I decided to make a more active art production a part of my life, and therefore this image meant a lot to me.

The motif is in a way a traditional still life, and the cat is our own red Aslan.

The painting was sold via an exhibition in Hvidovre.
