A few weeks ago, I was on a weekend course with the artist Mia Willaume. If you don't know her, check her out - she makes amazing paintings of, among other things, floral landscapes with bright colors. On the course, we had to work with two canvases. The idea behind it was to work with one that was "the right painting" and one that "was one you tried on". You can try to guess which of the two is my "right": -)
The painting with the pink bird became very much in my spirit with familiar colors and use of patterns, while the flower picture was different for me to paint. Here I was guided to use the colors in a different way and in several thin layers. The result was two very different paintings. But both very colorful - just as I love it. It's always great to be inspired to take new paths and become curious about how others work. Long live creativity.
