The girls from the village

Paintings are inspired by a black and white photograph that I found in an old family album. The album is filled with pictures of people I don't know, but who I am somehow related to. Unfortunately, there is no one left to tell the stories of these lives. Even the photo consists of three young women posing in front of Søllerød Kro, they look like they are for a kind of bachelorette party. They are nice in clothes and look happy. The photo is not dated, but due to the short dresses, it may have been taken in the post-war period, but I'm not sure......
